  11. Ok, I'm sure this has been hashed and rehashed, but I want to take a little survey and ask which is the best compiler for
  12. C++ development.  My requirements are as follows:

  14. must support ANSI C++ standards (STL, standard class library, etc.)
  15. must support MFC 4.0
  16. must support Java development
  17. must be industrial-strength
  18.  
  19. We are currently using MS Visual C++ 4.0 but are toying with the idea of looking at other compilers, especially if they 
  20. support MFC 4.0.
